Ascension began as a free serialized science fiction novella by N.J. Tanger.
But somewhere along the way, it grew longer. We quickly realized that to do justice to the story, Ascension needed to be released as a full novel. Ascension tells the story of the colony ship Chimera on her long journey from Earth to the star Elypso from the perspective of Navigator’s Assistant, Ashley Samuelson. If you’ve read Chimera, you’ll recognize the name Ashley Samuelson. If you haven’t, don’t worry–this is a stand-alone story and you don’t need to have read Chimera to enjoy it.
