Who is N. J. Tanger?
N. J. Tanger is a team of creators and authors.
Really? How many?
The originators of the world of Universe Eventual were Nathan Beauchamp and Joshua Russell. After they imagined the world and its players, they invited Rachael Tanger to join them on the adventure. All three of them had a hand in the creation of Universe Eventual as you know it today.
Wow. That’s a lot of people. Do you all write at the same time?
When new stories are in the creation phase, Rachael, Nathan, and Josh are all involved with story-building and outline. However, after the publication of Chimera, Nathan and Rachael took over the main work of writing. The two of them work together as a team, trading chapters as they go.
Sounds complicated. How do you keep the voice the same?
It’s not as complicated as it might seem. Nathan and Rachael are siblings, so they each have some experience with the other one’s strengths and weaknesses. As well as some experience in conflict resolution without violence.
But seriously. Who writes these things? It’s just one of you, right?
Nope. It’s a team effort. Nathan specializes in fight scenes and technology. Rachael specializes in dialog and realistic action.
How many books will there ultimately be?
As many as we can write while still having fresh ideas and solid stories! But in the main Universe Eventual story-line, five books total. In Universe Eventual: Origins, at least three.
